New Puppy Seminar
So you have a new puppy? Now what do you do? Call me for a private puppy training and you will learn how to:
- Crate train puppy to love his/her crate
- House-train -- and be able to read the puppy's body language when s/he has to go
- Chewing - what's OK, what's not
- Play Biting -- how to stop it before it gets out of hand
- Teething -- oh my gums are so sore!
- Beginning obedience exercises of "watch me, sit, wait, out, heel, down, stay" -- it's easier to start training when they're 8 weeks than when they become 8 months. Other basics learned:
- Jumping Up - how to stop it
- Submissive peeing when you come home
- Coming when called -- the first time
- Door dashing -- no more bolting past you when a door is opened
- A list of what the puppy really needs before you go off and buy out the pet stores with things that s/he don't need saving you a little $$$.
- An information sheet on poisonous plants, resources for group training, and my favorite local pet shops.
I specialize in young puppies from 6 weeks to 12 months. I raised many foster puppies for GSD Rescue for two years and all of my fosters learned German, English and hand signals before going to their forever homes. Three of my foster puppies serve as companion / therapy dogs in their homes.
