Just Like Home Resources
The following links and contacts are purely my recommendations. I know these individual people and training organizations and have worked with them myself. I'm always happy to add more resources as they are referred to me; however I will check out each one so that I can comfortably add them to this list.
Trainers & Training Clubs
- Donnasue Jacobi, 650-324-1708 -- private in-home training for puppies from 8 weeks to 12 months. I work on what you need to enhance your training experiences from group classes or to work on individual behavior problems.
- Bari Halperin, Dog Days, 650-851-5500 (has group classes and private training at Holbrook-Palmer Park, Atherson); fun and knowledgeable. Offers a variety of classes including puppy socialization, obedience, and Cainine Good Citizen. One of the best group classes I've even been in.
- Deep Peninsula Dog Training Club, 650-961-1891; training is at Rengstorff Park on Monday nights. Please call for information and registration information. Obedience training to get your Canine Good Citizen to the most advanced levels of AKC trialing. Great group, good trainers.
- Judy Butler, Willowside Ranch, stock dog training, herding trials, and boarding. She's in Pescadero, 650-879-0772 and is a great trainer for sheep herding! Worth the time and drive to board your dogs or learn the sport of sheep herding.
- Marian Pott, Half Moon Bay location, 650-712-1192, does obedience at the beach - how great is that!
- Paige Tyson, Redoow City and various San Mateo Parks & Recreational Facilities, 650-367-7471, does group obedience classes and private sessions.
- My personal favorite boarding referral: Danni Diebert, 650-747-0953, La Honda, CA (when I can't get Judy Butler).
